Huawei X Canberra Raiders work Sydney out

Aside from the fact they look like they could clobber you with one smack the Canberra Raiders are lovely and you don’t want to let them down.

That and we were wearing the new Huawei TalkBand B2 that tracks and records every movement you make with its new fangled technology. No one wanted to be embarrassed, and secretly, everyone wanted to prove how fit they were.

In Sydney one sunny Monday afternoon at the pleasantly peaceful Pirrama Park in Pyrmont, Huawei flew-in Sam Williams and Shaun Fentom from the Canberra Raiders rugby team to take a group training session that saw us running, squatting, planking and jumping our way to over 2,500 steps and 200 calories burnt.

After the preceding weekend; it was exactly what the body needed.

The Huawei brand is new to Australia in the consumer space by way of its new mobile phone handsets and leading technological advancements and now, is branching-out further afield to active and fitnesswear that is an all-encompassing life tool.

The Huawei TalkBand B2 tells the time and date, records steps taken, calories burnt and runs completed as well as – the kicker – incorporating a detachable bluetooth headset that connects with any Android or iOS device for the busy city-worker. They’ve thought of everything.

The lightweight fitness band is as stylish as the best of them and has been made with quality ergonomics in-mind. It comes in a range of colours and styles for the more work-focused to the more exercise-focused wearer, making it easy to team with suits, casual outfits or gym attire, ready to be sweated in and given a good run.

They’ve targeted the work out-to-work-to out customer whose needs every day vary from the intense, to the seated, to the standing and alcohol-fuelled; and what a great idea.

Given each day most of us transform into each three stages, the Huawei TalkBand B2 has been designed to be able to accommodate each and work seamlessly between them.

An easy-to-use, easy to sync and reliably trustworthy piece of technology, the Huawei TalkBand B2 will be available at JB Hi-Fi and Officeworks from July 1, 2015 and also be available for purchase at leading Telstra Stores from August 5, 2015.
