How to develop your summer look for 2017

Summer means holidays, picnics, trips to the beach and time with family and friends. Prepping yourself the longer, warmer days is important to keep yourself looking and feeling effortlessly stylish. This season has always been one for relaxation and recuperation and you don’t want anything, including your look, to get in the way. Taking time for yourself to develop your summer look will set you on track for a breezy summer and give you time for the more important things in life.

Keep it light

Whilst winter gives you the excuse to layer up with jumpers, scarves and coats to your heart’s content, summer is the time to shed these extra layers. You don’t want anything holding you down.

Choose the right swimwear

Having a staple bikini and full piece swimsuit is essential for any summer look. Throw them on underneath whatever you are wearing and you will be ready for any adventure. Picking the right style and colour is important. Fella Swim swimsuits online have a large range of styles, patterns and colours to choose from. Embrace your inner Baywatch with a red one-piece and plunging neckline or opt for a more minimalist classic triangular-cut bikini top.

Choose the sun

If you find yourself cooped up in an office or studying inside, try and take your work outside to the sun. Your skin is the largest organ in your body and it needs a good intake of Vitamin D to stay looking healthy and sun kissed. Grab a book or listen to a podcast on sunnier days and embrace the rays as much as you can to get a nourishing summer glow. Don’t forget sunscreen though.

Bikini body

Don’t worry. You aren’t prepping yourself for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.

Getting a bit more in shape doesn’t have be a chore. Try going for a walk every morning or swap the winter movie sessions with a run around the block. Summer is a great time to be active and exploring your surroundings so getting some base level fitness leave you healthy, lively and toned. YouTube videos are also great resource for giving some guidance around what exercises to do and how much.

Adorning your outfit with some simple pieces is a great summer investment.

Find a classic pair of sunglasses, a hat and some everyday sandals to throw on before you leave the house each day. Jewellery adds a bit of glamour as well, but don’t go overboard. Stick to a couple of items such as a fine pair of earrings or a bracelet that’ll bring out your healthy glow.

Au naturel

Keep things simple when dressing for the day.

Apply some tinted moisturiser, some mascara and leave it at that. Let your skin breathe and your hair hang how it does naturally. Throwing it up in a loose ponytail or a messy bun will also give that effortlessly natural look. Sea salt spray is also a great edition to any summer hair routine. You can buy it cheap from your local pharmacy or just jump in the ocean.

You are what you eat

Last but not least, get your daily nutrients on your plate.

Filling yourself with leafy greens, veggies and fruit during summer will leave your body clear and bright. Your summer look will be filled with vibrancy.
