H&M to open in Australia

Seems like when it rains it pours, ‘cos now that we’ve received word that Uniqlo is opening, a few years after other northern-hemisphere giant Zara threw open its doors, Swedish retail mammoth H&M isn’t far off either.

Bringing 5,000 square metres of retail store floor heaven to Melbourne’s CBD, H&M will join those before it in leading the way in accessible high street fast fashion.

They’re taking prime position at Melbourne’s famed heritage GPO building on Bourke Street in central Melbourne, in April of 2014 and are launching a specially-designed 47-piece launch collection exclusively for Australian customers, which will be available for purchase as soon as the doors open.

H&M is going to be welcomed in Melbourne and to Australia overall thanks to their inspired designs fuelled by some of the latest global trends, which will now, cater specifically for the Australian lifestyle and market.

Bring it on.
