The Hilton Hotel Sydney paints the town yellow with Veuve Cliquot champagne

Is there anything more appealing than the thought of sitting pretty at The Hilton, sipping Veuve Cliquot and nibbling on oysters and sashimi? If there is, I can’t possibly think of what it may be.

Just when you thought Summer was over and all the fun has ended, The Hilton Hotel Sydney is keeping the party going with Yellow Hour, every day from 5pm – 7pm (that’s pretty much happy hour, and you can bet it’s a lot more fun than elbowing your way up to the bar at your local pub for a $5 chardonnay). Taking place at Hilton Sydney’s Zeta Bar, Marble Bar, and the Glass Brasserie and Wine Bar, there are a number of Veuve-centric specials on offer until the 15th of April.

Make your way to Marble Bar to nibble on salmon cakes, potato shoestring, and Korean fried chicken accompanied by $20 glasses of Veuve; or head up to Zeta Bar for $15 Veuve cocktails and equally-delicious nibbles. At Glass Brasserie and Wine Bar, we were treated to the Veuve tasting plates, which featured oysters paired with champagne granita, and kingfish sashimi accompanied by Veuve Cliquot Rose NV.

Veuve Cliquot is iconic for a reason: the famous yellow label speaks of elegance, fun, and total decadence; which is exactly how it feels to spend your evening sipping champagne at The Hilton Hotel Sydney without a care in the world. We highly suggest you make your way down as soon as possible, and considering Yellow Hour runs all the way through in to April, there’s more than enough time for a return trip…
