Hello Krimper

So typically Melbourne in style with the odd name to boot, Krimper is a new industrial-themed space that welcomed itself to the fold this week to a party of very important proportions.

Guests loaded themselves into the 300-guest capacity venue operated by the Larger Than Life Event Agency for a party in cool-kid cocktail party format with funkiness cascading down all four walls.

The history-filled venue was once home to the Guildford Lane art gallery, then went on to become a jazz bar, before retail architecture specialist Mun Soon of MGS Architects transformed the space into Krimper, a café by day and Melbourne’s hottest new events venue by night.

Its cool industrial décor with fluoro painted deer heads make for a nice scene as they adorn the exposed brick walls. Teamed with high ceilings, New York style furniture and a street art installation, paying homage to Krimper’s roots as the Guildford Lane art gallery, it’s an explosion of cool that even the most Brunswick of hipster would froth over.
