Get your gay on in style with Sunday Brunch at the Beresford Sydney

Sydney’s gayest venue, The Beresford by Merivale, has served as Sunday church for the Sydney’s loud and proud LGBTIQ residents for years. And now it’s got something new up its sleeve.

Sunday brunch at the Beresford is a thing from 14 January, offering a leafy, sunny, pleasantly moody and overbearingly homosexually-charged location to suck up some vodka with your morning eggs. An ideal Sunday, right?

In partnership with Absolut vodka and in advance of Merivale x Absolut’s own Mardi Gras float that will take charge of Oxford Street this annual Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras down Oxford Street in March, brunch is part food, part booze.

With classic brunch items on the menu like citrus and dill marinated salmon, guacamole on a bagel with lime sour cream; toasted crumpets with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, crunchy prosciutto and chives; or something a little more contemporary like corn fritters with avo and tomato salsa and grilled haloumi, it’s a wide-reaching and satisfactory menu that ticks all the boxes.

It’s the cocktail list, though, that sets the Beresford up as a great boozy brunch option with everything vodka-based and delicious.

From the classic bloody Mary for Sunday morning hangovers, to a more ‘Aussiefied’ version with Vegemite, you almost can’t taste the vodka.Beresford Absolut Colourful brunch Mardi Gras 4

Couple them with their own ‘Raspaka’ of Absolut, orange, apple, raspberry and passionfruit or the ‘Absolut Mimosa’ of Absolut, orange and simple sparkling wine, it’s an offering for your hair of the dog you know will do the trick.

The Beresford ‘We Are Colourful’ brunch is on every Sunday ’til Mardi Gras weekend.
