George Calombaris, Colin Fassnidge & Luke Nguyen threw a cocktail party

Celebrity chefs George Calombaris, Colin Fassnidge and Luke Nguyen threw a cocktail party at the QT Hotel Sydney and its super luxe Gilt Lounge, just ‘cos. The result? Out of this world.

The three celebrity chefs crafted bespoke little tidbits that were nothing short of ideal for the quality often associated with the QT Sydney. Morsels like grilled scallop & silken tofu with X.O chilli sauce & salmon caviar and pandan & coconut crème brulee by Luke Nguyen were served alongside Colin Fassnidge‘s soy-cured tuna with cucumber juice and lemon curd and crispy pork belly with colcannan julliene. Outstanding.

Meanwhile George Calombaris took an easy option by serving up ice-creams from his Melbourne fast food outlet, Jimmy Grants in the form of baklava choc-tops, alongside everyone’s favourite Miguel Maestre and his japaleno and tequila pork belly tacos.

The nation’s culinary kings were the three big names of this year’s Good Food & Wine Show, the annual celebration of local and international culinary delights, with hands-on masterclasses, wine tastings and flavoursome foodie experiences.

For the guests who wanted to fangirl and take home something to remember the night, the culinary conjurers each had their latest cook book available to buy and were more than happy to sign it with a personal message.

Located on the second level of Gowings Bar & Grill at QT Sydney, Gilt Lounge’s vibrant, sultry interior and opulent furnishings provided the perfect setting to dine on exquisite canapés while rubbing shoulders with some of Australia’s favourite chefs.
