General Pants is gay

General Pants are proud of their genes too.

So much so, they’ve gayed up their windows at two of Sydney’s key store locations on Pitt St. Mall and Oxford St. to coincide with this year’s Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, happening this weekend.

Featuring artwork dedicated to celebrating marriage and social equality for all, the windows were a collaborative creation between General Pants and famous Australian drag queen and performer Shane Jenek, whose alter ego Courtney Act has gone gangbusters overseas in the US.

Courtney Act is the official ambassador for this year’s Australian Sydney Mardi Gras, so it made sense for her to spread her love and light at every opportunity in the city.

Act this year didn’t come home for Christmas, saving the great unveil for coming home for Mardi Gras instead, unveiling what it means to be loud, proud and accepted and accepting regardless of anything.

See the windows in place til the end of the Mardi Gras season.
