FOG’s Oaks Day After Party

By Holly Thomas.

FOG restaurant, Prahran played host to a beautifully green after Oaks Day soiree within the grounds of the restaurants Night Garden of Earthly Delights. Tucked away in the outer back courtyard of the restaurant this secret garden was flawlessly adorned with pretty hanging lanterns, birdcages and perfectly preened shrubbery to complete the ‘earthly’ theme of the evening. Prahran’s number one dining destination welcomed Oaks Day race goers with champagne from Paul Louis and some delightful treats from FOG’s grill team including fresh seafood and cooked to perfection beef skewers, which would satisfy the pallet of any meat lover.

The garden theme of the evening was also adhered to with the many stunning, spring inspired floral outfits, with blood orange floral garlands amongst the many bold and bright head pieces race goers and attendees also donned pretty and flirty floral dresses with others keeping it simple with some classic primary colour blocking. Not to leave out the boys, they too showed their playful side with colourful pocket squares and floral ties alongside some seriously crisp and very dapper suits.

As this was a race day after party after all, the ultimate accessory which no one would be seen without was that oh so needed bit of caffeine in the form of the Espresso Martini, to which FOG concocts to absolute perfection. The Night Garden of Earthly Delights was the picture-perfect place to kick back within some beautiful serene and stylish surroundings, and to check out this year’s Spring Carnival fashions whilst enjoying great food and drink.
