The Newport Bottle Shop will hold three long table dinners, hosted by Franck Moreau, the first Australian Master Sommelier graduate from the Court of Master Sommeliers Australian Program. The dinners will feature a selection of top new world wine estates, and their chief winemakers, so if wine and food are your thing, this is for you.

They’re running on a hump day rhythm, which is great and offer some truly sensational things to look forward to. Here are some more details…

In 1972, legendary Napa Valley winemaker, Robert Mondavi, identified the future site of the Leeuwin vineyard as being ideal for the production of premium wine. Enjoying its first commercial vintage in 1979, Leeuwin was thrust into the international spotlight when Decanter Magazine gave its highest recommendation to the 1980 “Art Series” Chardonnay.

Wednesday 20 September – The European Tour
Experience a Franck Moreau curated journey through Europe’s top wineries. Enjoy a cocktail style event, beginning with a selection of Riesling’s paired with seafood, followed by series of Spanish wines to match a cured meats platter, before moving into fuller French and Italian reds with a main of suckling pig from the BBQ. Round out the evening with a trio of cheeses, each accompanied with the perfect dessert wine.
