Sydney’s Diamant Hotel

The Diamant Hotel in Sydney is one diamond of a find.

Perched subtly behind the famous Kings Cross Coca-Cola sign that overlooks Darlinghurst Road, the hotel services the inner-eastern guests’ needs of close proximity to the city, complementary gym use, an adjacent restaurant for those who don’t like to venture and spacious views from pretty-much every room.

Walking past the ostentatiously carved potted hedges that guard the glass fronted doors of the hotel, you’re greeted at reception by happy and willing hotel staff that are as prompt as they are helpful. Wonderfully refreshing for a hotel in one of Sydney’s most notoriously busy and colourful suburbs.

They do everything with a smile which makes it somewhat of a dream for the one-night stop over or an extended weekend.

The dark coloured motif through the hotel and flattering moody lighting gives the hotel and effortlessly stylish feel on each floor, which complements the location and overall style of the hotel and what it offers. And makes you look good regardless of what choices you made before-or-after your days or nights out.

The Diamant has a feel of celebrating the nightlife and keeping its guests sense of sensory overload at bay by managing sound and light pollution like no other hotel has quite mastered.

The Diamant Hotel boasts generously sized rooms with enough floor, bench and bathroom space to feel at home and not like you’re crammed into a stingy apartment. With plush, soft and welcoming king sized beds in each room and down pillows, sleeping to the sound-proofed tune of your own breathing is as easy as you’d expect from a hotel like the Diamant.

A joy to stay and a total downer to leave, the Diamant Hotel is my regular haunt in Sydney on the more lavish of visits that has joined the little black book of ‘best places to stay’ in Sydney.

They offer extended stay specials for the more thrifty guest. Have a look at their website diamant.com.au or call them on 02 9295 8888 to work something special out for yourself.
