COS Has A New Collaboration With Daniel Emma That Is Awesome

COS is known for is modern, functional and considered design and for this winter, the brand has collaborated with Adelaide-based industrial designers, Daniel Emma, to create a unique three part installation, “Hanging Out”.

Inspired by the timeless white shirt as a starting point, the duo look at how objects and furniture are explored in relation to the garment. “In the Australian winter often our house is strewn with miscellaneous objects that we use to hang clothing out to dry,” they said.

Founded by Daniel To and Emma Aiston in 2008, the designers wanted an avenue to express their thoughts through industrial design. The pair have worked on projects ranging from desk objects to installations, drawing influence from the diverse Australian culture.

COS has continuously supported the arts by working with established and emerging artists and creative studios and this collaboration with Daniel Emma seems fitting. Of this collaboration, COS’ Creative Director, Karin Gustafsson, says, “We welcomed the chance to collaborate with Daniel and Emma and are happy and honoured to be supporting local Australian designers, who we believe to be like minded with shared values. We hope that our customers enjoy these installations.’’

The installations will be featured in in the COS Sydney (Martin Place and Westfield Bondi Junction) and Melbourne (the Strand stores) stores.
