Kicking off the first of their four-Sunday residency at the Coogee Pavilion on the last Sunday, Client Liaison brought their distinct Australian flavour to the leafy rooftop bar and bistro overlooking the beautiful Coogee beach strip.

Mixing together their contemporary bangers (World of Our Love, anyone?) with some well-timed Kylie Minogue and Tina Arena, Client Liaison had the dance floor bustling with bronzed bodies who erupted into cheers when the opening riff of the group’s hit, ‘Off White Limousine’, rang out across the bright leafy rooftop bar.

The group are loved for their sincere adoration of Australian pop icons, teaming up with Tina Arena in 2017 to produce ‘A Foreign Affair’, and their commitment to an early 90s office aesthetic that even extends to their songs. ‘A Foreign Affair’ tells the story about a whirlwind romance that takes place on a business trip, while ‘Canberra Won’t Be Calling Tonight’ features parliamentary soundbites and a confusingly groovy tune about dodging governmental corruption.

While the ferns and water coolers fans have come to expect from their live shows were absent, the group brought their own unique brand of upbeat pop ballad electro to this gorgeous summer setting.
