Australian Women’s Network Blue Frost Gala In Melbourne
The Australian Women’s Network’s (AWN) Blue Frost Gala Ball can simply be described as ‘Inspirationally Spectacular’
Set at the Pullman Hotel overlooking Albert Park Lake, the 2016 Gala Ball was a fitting closer to what had been a wonderful day at the Australian Women’s Business Summit.
There was an excited buzz in the air as beautiful men and women, dressed to the nines, flocked from all over the country to support AWN and Safe Futures Foundations; an organisation which aids families of domestic violence.
Having not even entered into the ballroom, guests were welcomed by many surprises including an extensive sweets bar, a photobooth, many refreshments and a make-up station for all those needed touch ups.
But the excitement didn’t stop there.
Hundreds of esteemed guests filled the blue and white themed grand ballroom and were kept on their toes by the most extensive entertainment line-up you could think of. The smooth tones of Harrison Craig, Steps and Sound’s hard hitting choreography, intricate couverture chocolate sculptures by Sisko Chocolates and the quick handed paintings of Matteo Charles, just to name a few.
The night, however, was about more than just the glitz and glamour. It was a chance to recognise and support the brilliant work that the Safe Futures Foundation does on a daily basis.
Lead by CEO and Telstra Buisnesswomen of the Year 2015 finalist, Janine Mahoney, the organisation identifies the women and children most at risk of violence in the community. The foundation then provides these women and children with educational programmes and accommodation to help them escape their imminent situations.
Guests could not help but leave encouraged and proud of not only Ms Mahoney, but of the numerous business women in the room.
