ASOS In Your World

You know that an internationally acclaimed and behemoth online retailing and design company like ASOS likes you when they make the 20-odd million people in your country the first in the world to see a new collection before anyone else.

We must be doing something right.

When ASOS invited a handful of Australia’s most influential and unique fashion bloggers to a catered and all expenses paid trip to Australia’s international and local fashion powerhouse city of Sydney to preview the collection, excitement electrified the air and anticipation of what was to come wet the blogger’s appetites.

The Spring Summer 2013 collection entitled ASOS In Your World has been created exclusively for the company’s local customers whom the collection is available to for a limited period only in Australia.

It is a layered collection of mini trends that is embodied in three overarching categories: Caravan, Salon and House Party; each of which comprise a stunning vivid, colourful, movement-filled and spritely range of mens’ and womenswear made-up of separates, dresses, footwear and accessories to collate an overall look throughout the warmer months.

Both Caravan and Salon celebrate the ladieswear with such additions as rich colours throughout, billowing, flowing and draping maxi dresses, embellishment on certain pieces with delicate embroidery, coloured lace and cut-out detailing a large focus of the vintage inspired Salon collection.

House Party is where I get particularly excited as it’s ASOS’ men’s offering, inspired by the 90s hit Fresh Prince of Bel Air. This means a heap of that preppy look that so many – including myself – get off on, graphic prints and bold colours, which for a spring season that is tipped to be as sunny as it is, will go down a casual treat.

Myself and many other of Australia’s leading fashion bloggers were recently treated to a trip to Sydney to preview the collection over a breakfast in stunning Rose Bay. The collection, the view and the company were incredible! ASOS even treated us to a few new additions to our wardrobe. They certainly know how to woo a crowd.

For a limited time these looks are available in Australia, so there’s no time like the present to get a bit of ASOS In Your World.
