Archie Rose Horisumi Summer

Archie Rose Distillery is doing good things for its Horisumi series

Archie Rose Distilling Co. is all about quality spirits and the focus of this season is exactly that.

Launching their Horisumi – Summer, the fourth and final release in a series of rare gins in collaboration with Japanese tattoo artist Kian Forreal, the distillery is bringing quality Japanese art and their quality liquids together.

Archie Rose x Horisumi – Summer pays homage to a distinctly Japanese-inspired season through the hand-illustrated label artwork, whilst the gin itself celebrates the bounty of the season and a good old Aussie summer.

The label design is of the peony, known as the king of flowers in Japan, which blooms in summer and represents wealth, good fortune and bravery. Horisumi has paired it with the snake or “hebi” – a creature that when seen in white is embraced as a good omen.

What’s it like? Sweet peach, yuzu peel, aromatic mandarin and kumquat with its sticky marmalade flavour, offer a balanced and refined gin with refreshing and nuanced citrus notes and a subtle floral undertone. It will be available from 1 December at the Archie Rose Distillery.
