Yet another one of the many ways Melbourne airport is better than Sydney’s – a new retail precinct

In an effort to really position itself as the destination for tourists to visit and locals to call home, Melbourne Airport has invested even more money into itself, further cementing itself as the glorious gateway to the city that it is.

By pouring some dollars into a new refurb, the airport has a new precinct that showcases Melbourne as Australia’s food and fashion capital. It includes some of the world’s most desirable fashion and accessories brands, along with exciting bars and restaurants from some of Melbourne’s best-known chefs in addition to a brand new duty-free shopping experience.

The new precinct is located in T2 and stars the likes of Tiffany & Co., luxury fashion and accessories brands Salvatore Ferragamo, Max Mara, Bally, Emporio Armani, Michael Kors, HUGO BOSS and Furla, leading luxury luggage retailer, Tumi, and specialty watch store, Watches of Switzerland.

On the dining front, travellers can enjoy a truly Melbourne pre-flight culinary experience at one of six hospitality venues, including a revamped Café Vue by Shannon Bennett, Bar Pulpo by Movida by Frank Camorra and much-loved restaurant Two Johns. For the first time newly announced BaXa (opening late December 2017), Urban Provodore and Brunetti from the Angele Brothers will also be available airside within T2.

It’s a good day, furthering the Melbourne terminal as not only the flashiest, but the city as a whole as just plain worth visiting. An that’s before you even leave the airport!
