Aje. in Melbourne

By Holly Thomas.

The Aje store recently launched its brand new South Yarra Boutique with a champagne and sequin filled, intimate soiree. The boutique store opened its doors with its AW14 collection, containing a flurry of sparkling party dresses, stunning leather pieces and intricately detailed leggings. Each piece featured a glamorous twist on the traditional, with the classic LBD being remastered and drenched in sequin and sparkle. The Mavericks Wrap Dress definitely stood out from the crowd and is an absolutely stunning and timeless piece to add to your AW wardrobe, this can be purchased in either classic black or crystal white… Or both!

Aje showcases some beautiful party dresses in this collection but also does not shy away from casual wear. This boutique doesn’t do anything by half’s and you certainly will not find your average singlet or basic tee here, each classic piece features a bang on trend monochrome print or hand stitched embellishment to really add that bit of glamour you your every day basic wear.

The latest collection entitled ‘Reflections’ has two sides, Day Reflections and Night Reflections and most, if not all pieces come with an embellishment of some sort. The only item safe of a bit of glitz is the leather jacket, which sticks to its traditional style of a classic cropped leather. The Johnson Jacket features a chunky and defined collar and is made from luxurious soft leather, this leather jacket is another timeless piece from Aje and will look good right through to AW54.

This AW14 collection certainly contains something for everyone, for all occasions, for any time of the day and the intimate feel of the new South Yarra boutique creates a shopping experience that feels so unique. It is a beautiful store which is perfectly placed just off the busy beaten track of Chapel Street and will be your local go to place when you feel like treating yourself to so something special.
